The Gipht app by default, charges the sender the $5.00 Gipht service fee by adding the fee to the order at checkout.

Then the Gipht fees are paid to the Gipht App by the merchant, this can be seen on the Shopify billing statements.

It is possible to modify the service charge so that the fee is paid in part or wholly by the merchant instead. Here’s how to do that:

  1. From your Shopify Admin page, Find the “Gipht Service Fee” within your products and open the product editor.

  2. Change the price to the desired amount. Note, the merchant will still be billed for the full amount ($5.00 USD) no matter what this price is set to for the customer. If this is set to $0.00 then the fee will not be passed to the customer at all.

Please note that if the Gipht Service fee is modified in any way other than the price, the Gipht app may loose the ability to add it to Gipht orders, and therefore the service fee will not be passed to the customer.
