Gipht has the ability for shoppers to purchase Recharge prepaid subscriptions without knowing the recipients address. When a cusomer uses this option, the pre-paid subscription will be paied in full once the recipient accepts the gift via the Gipht app, and a recurring order will be generated for the merchant to fulfill based on the subscription’s settings.

    2. Navigate to Apps → API Tokens.

    3. Click the “Create and API token” button.

    4. Give the token a name, such as “Gipht”, and any email address associated with the shop.

    5. Set “Read and Write” access for the following:

      1. Subscriptions

      3. Products
    6. Check the “I have read and agree with Recharge's API Terms of Service.” box and save.

What happens when a customer sends a Recharge Gift Subscription via Gipht?

The customer is not charged until the gift has been accepted by the recipient via Gipht. Once the gift is accepted, a prepaid Recharge subscription is created and will generate the subscription orders in Shopify like normal. The Recharge subscription does not get generated until the gift is accepted by the recipient.
